We are seeking a senior corporate public company paralegal to join our teamThis position will provide legal support to etsy’s public company, corporate & securities team, with a particular focus on supporting etsy’s growing international footprintThe role will include developing and managing internal procedures, coordinating with related etsy teams, and working with outside counsel and service providers.

About the role
In this role you will:
Work closely with etsy’s finance, tax and treasury teams, as well as internal and external legal counsel and legal services vendors, our international legal entities.
Manage the formalities necessary to maintain etsy’s international entities, including coordination with corporate agents and legal counsel to maintain minute books, compliance calendars, and annual report filings, address annual meeting requirements, record and report director and officer changes, and maintain qualifications to do business.
Work with cross-functional teams on international corporate governance matters, including updates to corporate governance policies and procedures.
Be the point of contact for our international corporate secretary service provider(s).
Assist with maintenance of us domestic entities as needed.
Help build and document standardized processes for corporate governance at our subsidiaries and other aspects of etsy’s legal operations.
Work closely and collaboratively with the legal ops team on metrics and technology solutions.
Be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our trade clearance management system and associated workflows.
Process notarization, apostilling and other legalization of foreign documents.
Assist with transactions, including providing due diligence support and assistance with document distributions and closings.
Support with both international and u.sInsurance renewals.
Partner with internal teams, others in legal, and outside counsel, through clear communication and effective project management.

Qualifications
About you
Ideally you`ll bring:
Bachelor’s degree or certified paralegal qualified to work in-house in new york.
5+ years of corporate paralegal experience.
Experience in management of corporate entities.
Insurance and corporate governance matters a plus.
Familiarity with workiva and section 16 filing platforms a plus.
Budget or legal ops systems management experience a plus.
Experience in forming and maintaining the corporate formalities for international corporate entities.
Bilingual/multilingual (portuguese, spanish) to support etsy’s house of brands is a plus.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.
Successful track record of working autonomously and within a team structure, with colleagues based in offices around the world.
Interest in undertaking new challenges, taking primary responsibility for projects, and developing new areas of expertise.
Excellent communication skills and can convey legal concepts and processes in easy-to-understand language.
History of working with confidential information and data with the highest degree of attention to preserve confidentiality.
Possess critical thinking skills and can operate in ambiguous and unfamiliar situations.
Possess or are willing to obtain a notary license.
