Software developer (api tester) in software engineering group
- 1+ years testing experience
- api testing using readyapi, rest, jsonPostman or similar is fine.
- able to read openapi specifications, perhaps source code to create tests
- familiar with modern version control, preferably gitCommit, push, pull, branch, merge, approve change requests, etc.
- able to do work that stands up to scrutiny under conditions of uncertainty and ambiguity(not so much of the time pressure, so only three out of four! you`re welcome!)
- network tracing/profiling tool experience such as wireshark, google chrome developer toolsProxy tools such as fiddler.
Tech stack
- readyapi, openapi, rest/json, git, python, builtkite, kotlin for the mobile software, java
Nice to have
- evidence of professional engagement in software testing ( association for software testing, context driven testing, conference participation, twitter, writing articles, blogging, etc)
- test design experience such as quick attacks/quick tests, domain testing, and so on.
- familiar with common failure modes of apis and how to test for them, mocks and stubs, etc.
- google protobuf (grpc) experiecne
- 5+ years dev/test experience
- excellent writing/verbal communication skills
