Position description:
Experience with dept of veterans affairs a +
Lead agile requirements management activities; lead the analysis of user needs to determine functional, cross-functional, and technical requirements
Validate requirements and integration
Development of test cases and test scripts and actively engage in executing these activities in a hands-on fashion
Defect management tracking and analysis activities
Requirements management activities: conduct analysis of user needs to determine functional, cross-functional, and technical requirements
Perform functional analysis and allocation to identify required tasks and their interrelationships
Use standard requirements management, testing, and defect management tools (e.g., jira, rally) to create and manage requirements, epics, sub-epics, and user stories
Lead and mentor junior analysts in accordance with strategy and direction established by the team lead
Collaborate with engineers in an agile setting
Work with customer, users, and other contractors to gather, understand and document business, functional, technical & non-technical requirements
Conduct requirement elaboration sessions, work group calls and engage customers to provide requirements and feedback
Conduct user interviews, leading and facilitating sessions, and developing business process models and formal specifications
Conduct user research and usability testing
Conduct backlog grooming sessions
Coordinate with systems engineers to assess impact to technical solutions
Track and monitor contractual requirements against technical designs
Develop and sustain requirements traceability matrix (rtm)
Develop change requests per established policies and procedures
Develop user stories and requirement documents as per project standards and guidance.
Follow agile methodology (scrum) and deliver requirements/specifications for sprint teams
Remove impediments from team members to achieve successful completion of sprints
Provide clear qualitative and quantitative information to teams and stakeholders
Support change control processes established to monitor and control project scope
Required skills
Experience working in an agile environment is preferred
Expertise with agile product management tools (e.g., jira, ca rally)
Highly motivated and analytical; proven problem-solving abilities
Ability to take initiative
Ability and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail
Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new skills, new client environments, and grow domain expertise
Ability to learn quickly
Ability to conduct independent research to lead or support the resolution of complex questions and issues
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
Experience in large, agile software development or data integration projects
Solid oral and written communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical topics to the customer, management and non-technical audiences
Excellent analytical skills, the ability to integrate information from multiple sources to execute effectively and efficiently in a dynamic environment
Proficient with ms office suite
Required experience
Bachelor`s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or equivalent
8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
5 years of related work experience
