Our api-first solution allows any merchant to offer extended warranties and protection plans, both online and offline, while also providing a merchant`s end customers with a vastly improved and modern support experience that eliminates many of the issues customers face today with legacy underwriters.
We are a venture-backed startup based in downtown san francisco (and since covid began, fully remote) that is led by founders who have previously had multiple successful exitsExtend is simplifying the technology stack for the extended warranty industry.
The role:
We are looking to hire a senior sdet for a select team that will be building out new strategic initiatives as extend expands our product portfolioYou will be working closely with product management, engineering, design, marketing, and sales to take these new initiatives from concept to marketWe are looking for people who are passionate about product quality and user experience, and who know how to help build and iterate new features quickly.
What you`ll do:
Guide your product team to release software safely and predictably
Participate in software solution design
Expand and improve automated tests
Manually test new features and document the process
Mentor test engineers through pair programming and code reviews
Find ways to automate or speed-up tedious parts of the release process
Collaborate with cross-team engineers to leverage shared tooling
Be a force-multiplier: devising ways to release software safely when you’re not around
What we are looking for:
5+ years experience as a test engineer or qa engineer
Strong skills with javascript or typescript
Deep familiarity with automation frameworks such as webdriverio, cypress, nightwatchjs, protractor, testcafe
Experience debugging and extending test automation tools
Experience writing test plans, creating qa processes, and being a thought leader in quality
Open and engaged personality with well-formed perspectives and opinions on software development and testing
Nice to have:
Fluent in javascript (nodejs) and common js-based testing frameworks
Experience working for fast-growing engineering organizations
Knowledge of aws: api gateway, lambdas, dynamodb, sns, sqs, cdk, cloudformation
