Our api-first solution allows any merchant to offer extended warranties and protection plans, both online and offline, while also providing a merchant`s end customers with a vastly improved and modern support experience that eliminates many of the issues customers face today with legacy underwriters.
We are a venture-backed startup based in downtown san francisco (and since covid began, fully remote) that is led by founders who have previously had multiple successful exitsExtend is simplifying the technology stack for the extended warranty industry.
What you will be doing:
Guide your product team to release software safely and predictably.
Participate in software solution design.
Expand and improve automated tests for both ui and api.
Plan, write and execute manual and automated test cases for new features.
Work with team members to understand requirements and translate them into manual and automated test cases.
Document process, test results and analysis.
Find ways to automate or speed-up tedious parts of the release process.
Collaborate with cross-team engineers to leverage shared tooling.
Be a force-multiplier: devising ways to release software safely when you’re not around.
Communicate status frequently with team members and ensure projects are moving forward.
What we are looking for:
5+ years experience as a test engineer or qa engineer
Strong skills with javascript or typescript
Deep familiarity with automation frameworks such as webdriverio, cypress, nightwatchjs, protractor, testcafe
Experience debugging and extending test automation tools
Experience writing test plans, creating qa processes, and being a thought leader in quality
Open and engaged personality with well-formed perspectives and opinions on software development and testing
Ability to take ownership of product quality for your team.
Nice to have:
Fluent in javascript (nodejs) and common js-based testing frameworks.
Experience working for fast-growing engineering organizations.
Knowledge of aws: api gateway, lambdas, dynamodb, sns, sqs, cdk, cloudformation.
Mentor test engineers through pair programming and code reviews.
Experience with testing sdks.
E-commerce experience.
