Role and responsibility
This senior quality engineer will work with product marketing and other engineering teams to build and validate new xiq switching features to ensure extreme networks customers have an exceptional and memorable xiq user experienceThe role would be responsible on writing feature description and testing strategy, test plan design and execution, as well as automation scripts development to cover various functional, system, performance, and scalability aspects of xiq validation.
Skill required
Proficient with python; java and javascript programming languages a plus
Understanding of json/yaml encoding and data structures
General understanding of ethernet switch architectures, and l2, l3 networking protocols
Practical understanding of enterprise network operations
Knowledge of linux virtualization concepts, hypervisor, vm and containers
Aws, google gcp or microsoft azure cloud experience is a plus
Experience using git and jira is a plus
Education requirements
Engineering or computer science graduates with a bs or ms degree.

5 + years’ industry experience on software testing and automation
Location
Position is based at our site in the raleigh/rtp, nc area -or work remotely
