The flexe logistics team is looking for an inventory control manager to act as the process owner for the inventory mgtFunction across the third party (3p) network of flexe fulfillment providersThe logistics team works with customers that have enlisted flexe to help them supplement or outsource their fulfillment operations for ecommerce and retail distributionWe provide software and logistics support to enable efficient and high quality execution from our warehouse partners on behalf of our customersOur customers have millions of dollars worth of inventory moving in and out of hundreds of 3p warehouses on behalf of our clients across the us and canadaAn ideal candidate has had exposure to inventory management accountability across multiple product types (food, hardware, furniture, cosmetics, etc.) and has been accountable for driving improvements to inventory accuracy in a fulfillment network with multiple high volume fulfillment processing facilitiesThey are comfortable working cross functionally with commercial, finance, tech and logistics personnel to drive for continuous improvementThis position reports into the director of operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Propose and implement inventory control monitoring processes across the flexe network
Support project management to coordinate multiple warehouse year end physical inventory counts, partnering with multiple 3p logistics providers
Serve as escalation poc to help identify root cause of significant inventory accuracy issues, drive process improvements to reduce frequency of errors
Work closely with the business analytics teams to define requirements for inventory related dashboards and reporting.
Responsible for driving consistency in contract language partnering with commercial teams to ensure that 3p logistics facilities are required to meet industry best practice standards for inventory handling
Partner with tech/product teams to define enhancement requests to the inventory adjustment/cycle counting toolsetPartner with the learning team to ensure warehouse training on inventory tools is up to date and effective.
Act as sme across flexe to create common understanding of inventory mgtPrinciplesIdentify and communicate skill and capability needs at 3p providers to enable right focus on inventory control.
Develop proactive strategies to anticipate and mitigate issues and risks with respect to inventory control, educate broader teams as to improve ongoing service
Responsible for driving consistency in contract language which enables inventory handling accountability from the 3p warehouses
Qualifications
7+ years experience in inventory control
Highly proficient in data analysis, excel expertise required
Preferred tool set: sql, looker, python, excel, jira, confluence
Experienced working in or with multiple warehouse facilities with >5000 skus
Able to travel 25%
