Full job description
This technical lead role will make architecture decisions, research & implement new technologies, improve team processes, share your technical expertise &, of course, involve a good amount of coding.
Our primary stack includes laravel, vue.js, mongodb & mysql but we encourage you to apply even if you don’t check every boxExperience with modern javascript and software development best practices are the key qualifications.
This position is 100% remote or can be hybrid (in-person 1 to 2 days per week at our elgin, il office) if candidate prefers.
Duties
Architect, develop, test, deploy & maintain full-stack web applications.
Research, recommend & implement new technologies, frameworks, & tools.
Provide technical guidance to the web team.
Ensure the team adheres to coding standards & best practices.
Establish, oversee & improve ci/cd processes including automated tests.
Serve as technical expert during sprint meetings & advocate for technical needs, team capacity & skillset when selecting tasks.
Follow agile project management methodology.
Monitor website performance & determine appropriate improvements.
Maintain system & user documentation.
Education / qualifications
Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of directly related work experience or ten years of directly related work experience.
Excellent organizational & time management skills, detail oriented & team player.
Good written & verbal communication skills.
Expert knowledge in php or other programming language, javascript, html & css.
Experience with vue.js or other modern javascript framework, laravel or other mvc framework, mysql or other relational database, wordpress or other content management system & agile software development.
Experience in evaluating, recommending & implementing new tools & technologies.
Experience with devops processes.
Experience with tdd preferred.
