Facco is the world`s largest producer of modern poultry equipment; it studies, designs and manufactures turnkey technology solutions for eggs and meat production with high-quality performance and high standards of health and hygiene, which can be adapted to all climatic conditions on all continentsWe provide our clients turnkey poultry projects as well as specific systems within a poultry operation such as layer house, broiler farm, ventilation, feeding and manure treatment systemsWith offices and teams across the globe, we have been servicing the poultry industry since 1957.we’re hiring for a construction project manager to join our teamYou would be focused on overall project management of larger multi-million-dollar projects leading cross-functionally within the organization as well as working closely with contractorsYou will be focused on leading the project to be on time, within specifications and requirements and within budgetYou will be working with the complexity of materials being shipped in internationally.our ideal candidates is well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best resultsThe ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skillsThis role is based from home with travel to the hq in chicago and on-site projectsOur ideal candidate lives somewhere in the midwest and open to extra travel to chicago the first couple of monthsWe offer a competitive compensation, health, dental, vision, roth and 401k contributions, short- and long-term disability, life insurance and paid time off.responsibilities
Collaborate with engineers, to determine the specifications of the project
Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etcAnd guide them when needed
Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
Requirements
Bsc/ba in civil engineering, building science, construction management or relevant field
Proven experience as construction project manager
In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
Good knowledge of ms office eventually cad
Familiarity with construction/ project management software
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
A team player with leadership abilities
Pmp or equivalent certification will be an advantage
