As the premier fly rod manufacturer, sage manufacturing of bainbridge island is searching for detail-oriented crafters to join our team in either the capacity of a home-based wrapper or as an in-house wrapper.
The in-house role is full-timeThe home-based role can be full-time or part-timeWe do require training in-house the first 4 weeks, then provide to you the tools to take and begin working from home.

We offer a competitive starting pay of $14.50/hour during trainingThe 4 to 5-week training takes place at the facility on bainbridge island monday-friday from 9:00 am to 3:30 pmThis position can either be full time in-house with benefits or a full or part time remote work from home position with a flexible schedule and some benefits.

A day in the life of a remote or in-house production worker
As one of our production workers, you start out by completing training to learn the unique skills that allow us to craft the best fly rod in the industryAfter completing this training, you are ready to hit the ground running as you work from homeWorking with your team lead, you set a schedule that works with your lifestyle and our hours of operationEach week you physically pick-up and deliver production rods to the factory so you do need to live in the area.
You have set up a perfect space where you can create! you start each project by reading the specifications for that particular rodWith your company-provided table, you are able to wrap eyes onto fly rods with expert precisionYou do this by operating the foot peddle (much like a sewing machine) while wrapping the thread and then cutting the thread close to the rodYou find great satisfaction in meeting weekly production goals.
Qualifications
Superior hand/eye coordination
Ability to work with fine detail, both manually and visually
A work-from-home space that allows for the wrapping equipment and is free of pet hair and dust
Ability to read, interpret, and follow specification guidelines as they relate to our sage fly rod production
