Fast site plans is an online drafting company established in 2017 out of the need to provide the market with fast, reliable, and affordable drafting solutions for permitting.
We help homeowners and contractors create site plans and construction plans for simple residential projects.
Since our beginning, our dedicate and professional team of drafters have prepared hundreds of plans around the united states and have met the permit requirements of building departments nationwide.
Job description
Fast site plans is looking for creative and enthusiastic drafter who is familiar with building and zoning codes to join our team!
We are an online design and drafting company looking for remote sketchup drafter who is a great team player and can facilitate communication and expectations between our clients and the design team.
Description
· facilitate communication between the design team and clients.
· work closely with design team
· understand and research building and zoning codes for different projects
· prepare work orders and project resources for client orders
· serve as main point of contact with clients, design team, and management.
· create complete construction drawings for permitting from hand-drawn sketches, preliminary concepts, specification sheets, and other data.
· modify existing plans as needed on sketchup
· document and maintain plan changes and redline drawings.
· assist in the preparation, compilation of drawings, and other data necessary for creation of plans.
· maintain support documents.
· incorporating engineering redlines to plans as provided by outside consultants.
Basic qualifications
Must be enrolled or have completed an accredited associates program in either architecture, design, drafting, or related field.
Part time employment period is for 1 year with option for full time hire upon 1 year anniversary of hire.
If a student, must be able to work during academic yearWeekly work schedule is flexible to accommodate classes and studio, however must be able to commit 4 hours a day.
Minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.

Skills and knowledge:
· ability to read cad drawings, architectural blueprints, and engineering drawings
· proficient using sketchup (required), autocad, ms excel, gmail
· proficient in the production and coordination of residential construction documents
· understanding of building construction methods and techniques
· knowledge of applicable codes
· highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess the flexibility to adjust to a regularly changing workload volume.
· driven to get results, work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects/tasks through to completion
· ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships internally and externally.
· handle stressful situations with a level head and low emotional level
· must be a self-starter with the ability to organize and implement several concurrent projects and exercise sound judgment in prioritizing.
· highly motivated, positive, and proactive problem solver
· works efficiently and accurately in the time allotted to solve problems in a prompt manner with the ability to analyze and put together a plan of action
· fluent in spanish is a must
