Fiberrise is currently hiring an independent contractor to support our osp design teamT* his is part-time, contract work (1099-misc), and we anticipate 20 - 30 hours per weekWork can be performed remotely or at our headquarters in huntsville, al.*
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Experience developing osp fiber engineering designs for servicing business and residential markets
Provide engineering preliminary and final fiber layout designs for aerial, buried, and underground construction.
Designate the design, sizing, and placement of mainlines, laterals, hubs, splices, splitter cabinets, and terminals.
Generate and review documentation related to osp design, boms, plans, specifications, and drawings.
Complete gis updates from field reviews and construction redlines.
Perform quality control reviews and self-checks on completed designs in terms of completeness, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
5+ years of related experience with fiber optics and/or osp design.
Technical career focus with advanced computer skills.
Knowledge of fiber telecommunication and outside plant infrastructure.
Training, certifications or work experience in gis (or cad) design.
Experience using vetro and/or crescent link
