Full job description
We are searching for a talented, hard-working, and experienced transactional associate who is looking for a long-term opportunity, to become the newest member of our teamWe strive to be a firm where you can really make a difference in the world, serving clients who are doing great work, while growing both personally and professionally as a legal professional.
The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of relevant transactional (corporate, contract, tax) experience in californiaThe ideal candidate should also be comfortable working independently, yet enjoy the camaraderie and synergy that can be created working in a fun, exciting, and collaborative office environment.
Responsibilities:
Ideally, we are looking for someone who can `hit the ground running;` the ideal candidate must have at least four (4) years experience in drafting various types of contracts, corporate documents or tax opinionsAs our clients are primarily tax-exempt organizations, a familiarity with the tax implications that some types of drafted contracts can have on these organizations is a plus.
Education and experience:
We require this candidate to be a graduate of an aba accredited law school, with a minimum of 4-6 years of relevant, client based transactional experienceA candidate with the minimum experience should expect to receive compensation at the lower end of the posted rangeThose with additional years of experience should expect compensation at the higher end of the rangeIf you have 7-10 years of relevant, client based exempt organizations experience, then the compensation structure could be greater.
Software and systems:
Required proficiency: word, excel, powerpoint, and experience with any legal case management system.
Valued proficiency: tech savvy, with experience with clio practice management software.
Hours, compensation and benefits:
This is a full-time position with a salary commensurate with your level of experienceThere is a three-month probationary period, to ensure we are a good fitWe want to make sure that we are a perfect match and that you will be happy and we will be happy working togetherAfter all, life is too short to spend your days working with people you don`t enjoy being around.
If we both determine that you are a great fit, then after those 90 days of satisfactory employment, you will become eligible to receive paid time off, health insurance and flexible spending account benefits and participate in our employer sponsored retirement plan (401(k))We also match our employee`s charitable contributions to the nonprofit organizations of their choice, up to $500/year.
Opportunities for various bonus structures based on your personal financial and time objectives are available, increasing the potential compensation by $30,000 - $50,000+.
