Production engineer
Summary/objective
Forge nano inc, a fast-growing materials company with a focus on manufacturing nano-scale coating equipment across a wide range of markets is seeking an experienced production engineer reporting to the vice president of operationsThis position acts as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing teams to efficiently and effectively build prototype, first-run, and customized equipmentStrong teamwork, an eye for manufacturability, and the ability to translate design ideas into mechanical reality are required to succeed in this position.
Essential functions & responsibilities
Lead the operations team in new assembly equipment build projects
Curate and manage handoff documentation from engineering to manufacturing teams
Use cad models, drawings, electrical schematics, and bills of materials to direct the proper assembly of new equipment, and update them as needed through the build process
Participate in tools design reviews, including dfa, jsa and hazop
Create documentation for assembly, training, or maintenance
Assist in testing and qualifying new features or components
Assist in procurement and inventory tasks
Flex as needed to assembly of standard units and customer installations/support
Required education and experience
Engineering bachelor`s degree with 2+ years` experience
Or technical associate degree or equivalent military training with 6+ years` experience
Experience working with solidworks or autocad
Strong proficiency with microsoft office suite: outlook, excel, word, etc.
Strong proficiency in metal fabrication and machining metal parts and components(experience working with stainless steel and aluminum is ideal)[jv1] (#_msocom_1) [js2] (#_msocom_2)
Strong troubleshooting skills to the component level is a plus.
Prior experience in assembly, troubleshooting, rework, or modification of equipment and designs
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings such as p&ids, 2d drawings, and electrical schematics.
Preferred skills and experience
Experience writing work instructions, assembly manuals, and sops
Diligent organizational and documentation skills
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks with stringent deadlines
Flexibility to take support calls outside of business hours
Experience with inventory management or erp/mrp systems
Work environment
Work is carried out in our large technical facility, remotely, and at customer locations, often in cleanrooms and frequently with minimal physical clearanceWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee may handle hazardous chemicals at timesThe employee will be required to wear all appropriate safety equipment including but not limited to eye protection, gloves, steel toe shoes, lab coat, etcAn employee in this position works in an environment in which safety, environmental and health concerns may demand constant attentionStrict adherence to corporate and/or plant policies, rules and regulations in these areas is requiredEmployee will also be subject to customer safety policies and procedures during field service visits.

Compensation
$65k-$75k salaried, compensation depending on experience
