Freightwaves is looking for a owner-operator and truck driver expert to create content and build a highly engaged audienceThe owner-operator and truck driver expert will write a newsletter and produce audio and video content to grow an engaged audience in a certain fieldThis position requires the owner-operator and truck driver expert to follow the relevant industry closely, build a network of contacts, and be able to frame news in a smart, digestible way for this audience of insiders.
***this position is 100% remote!
What you’ll do:
Write a personality-forward newsletter that structures the latest industry news and your own insights in an impactful, digestible format
Cover important companies, technologies, trends, and news stories in your vertical
Track signups, open rates, and clickthrough rates for the newsletter and use a/b testing to drive engagement
Use social media including twitter and linkedin to engage your audience and draw attention to your community
Launch a podcast on our freightcasts platform addressed to your audience
Create video content for fw tv and social media addressed to your audience
Contribute to research products where appropriate
Find visual elements for your newsletter, including from our photographic library, stock images, charts, memes, etc
What you bring to the table:
Asset-based trucking carrier experience is preferred
Bachelor’s degree in english, journalism, or business preferred, but not required
Experience in and passion for digital content creation
This role is ideal for someone with experience in digital marketing, copywriting, journalism, or blogging
Willingness to dive deeply into supply chain topics
Basic knowledge of supply chain and/or logistics
Ability to assimilate large amounts of information and data and create a compelling story supported by the facts
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Deep knowledge of emerging technology trends and applications
A passion for the unique story
Ability to partner with individuals and groups from multiple functions and organizations, especially ability to collaborate with other analysts
Ability to convey difficult subjects to ideas and sound bites that the average lay person can understand and attract media attention
