Full job description
Work includes setting up music stands, percussion equipment, and chairs prior to rehearsals, assisting the conductor with logistics during rehearsal, putting away and replacing equipment after rehearsalsAll equipment is of a moderate weight (approximately 5 to 40 pounds), designed to be easily carried, or has wheels for ease of transportationReading and following seating and stage charts will be required for setupFor concert events, logistics manager will manage 1 to 2 additional assistants.
Requirements: must enjoy working around elementary to high-school aged childrenBackground check will be requiredPhysically capable of moving and caring for valuable but heavy equipmentAbility to read diagrams and set up equipmentCommunications skills with administrative and leadership teams.
Training: training will be provided on the job under the mentor ship of conductorsYou will learn logistical skills as well as the nuances of working with artistic and musical organizationsThese organizations are growing with lots of room for new responsibilities and promotion.
