Summary: the vista tester uses the mumps language and technologies, test routines, configure existing systems and provide user supportThe tester should be a team player & excellent communicatorTesters analyze customer needs and develop overall concept and design objectivesThe tester’s goal is to work with internal teams that design, develop and maintain software.
Responsibilities:
Participate in requirements analysis.
Collaborate with internal teams to test software design and architecture.
Test and deploy applications and systems.
Revise, update, refactor and debug code.
Improve existing software.
Qualifications:
Proven work experience as a vista tester
Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications
Familiarity with agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus.
Familiarity with design/architectural patterns (model-view-controller (mvc))
Test system design document (sdd) and interface control document (icd) and other documentation as designated within the veteran-focused integration process (vip)
Test code independently using the vpe editor or cache studio
Requirements:
· knowledge of the veteran-focused integration process (vip)
· knowledge of the legacy project management accountability system (pmas)
· experience with va vista and related tools a plus
· strong understanding of modern software design and development methodologies (e.g., agile, cache’ and intersystems)
· strong understanding of modern scm (software configuration management)
· basic understanding of testing tools and unit and integration test scripting and testing methodologies.
· experience on one or more full release project life cycles
Able to apply consistently quality and security standards.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team and with clients.
Ability to work with web-development tools for new applications.
Experience writing code using languages such as (and not limited to) cobol, pl/1, java, c, c++, c#, vb.net, delphi
Experience using an integrated development environment (e.g., eclipse, visual studio)

· design, development, and implementation of a wide range of computer systems.
