Geon technologies has an immediate need for a software engineer to lead and assist software system design and engineering efforts developing and maintaining a gpu based digital signal processing frameworkResponsibilities will range in scope to include software development, signal processing integration, devsecops, and testingThe selected candidate for this position will be providing technical guidance and development support to this project and should be proficient in c++ and pythonPotential for remote work!
Responsibilities and duties
The software engineer will be responsible for:
Developing and integrating signal processing capabilities into the dsp framework.
Incorporating state-of-the-art technology to include machine learning tooling and applications.
Performing high-level software system design for new features and systems prior to implementation.
Working closely with the team(s) developing and maintain the framework, trying out new features, proposing new features, identifying and troubleshooting bugs, etc.
Mentoring junior team members
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor`s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering
Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing software in c++
Experience developing and/or integrating signal processing applications in an sdr framework
Minimum 2 years developing software in python
Shell scripting experience
Experience with automated software testing at various levels including unit tests, integration tests, and system tests.
Linux development experience including building and installing rpms
Experience with continuous integration including the use of gitlab ci and/or jenkins
Docker container experience
Knowledge of rf front-end hardware
Familiarity with the agile development process
Clearance: secret, but ts is preferred
