We are looking for a lead qa automation engineer who is responsible for ensuring the overall quality for our saas application portfolioOur ideal candidate is knowledgeable about best practices, excited about working with others on innovative applications and always looking to protect our customers’ needsWe need someone who is resourceful in getting things done — a productive team member that is both independent and collaborative, who is also comfortable mentoring other qa engineers.
You should be comfortable working in a fully remote scrum team environment to routinely deliver product releasesYou should be motivated to bring qa automation technologies into our development processes which enable our teams to achieve our strategic goal of continuous delivery (cd)You should be excited to join a team with others that are just as passionate and eager to learn as you are!
Your most important initiatives:
Lead by example and provide mentorship to the existing qa team members
Develop an understanding of gocanvas’ value to our customers and ensure that we protect existing customers’ use-cases from regressions while simultaneously expanding our core functionality
Work with our scrum teams to bring incremental improvements to our qa automation each sprint and to help scrum teams consistently meet high-quality release goals
Build a community of practice around test automation among qa and engineers to best use testing tools like cypress in continuous integration (ci) environments
Get our engineering teams to a confidence level that facilitates continuous delivery
Work with product managers to identify strategic areas for investment of testing coverage and appropriate testing strategies across multiple products
What you bring
You will need to wear many hats and be able to strategically lead a qa team to ensure product quality and support deliveryYou should be excited to mentor, influence, and lead a team, as well as be an expert in industry best practices.
5+ years of software qa experience
3+ years of experience working in automation technologies such as cypress, selenium, or appium
Excellent organization and collaboration skills working with team members of varying backgrounds, roles, and levels of experience
Proven experience writing test plans and test cases as well as conducting manual tests
Knowledgeable of software testing methodologies and strategies for web and mobile applications
Strong oral and communication skills and the proven ability to teach complex information in an effective, engaging manner
A passion for learning new things and solving our customers problems
