Position summary:
The primary responsibility of this role will be leading front-end development for the main company website (desktop and mobile) with oversight from the executive creative director and executive producer.
Essential job duties and responsibilities:
Architect efficient and reusable front-end code systems that drive complex web applications (mobile friendly)
Analysis and strategy for implementing requirements and ux/ui interface designs
Maintain and improve multiple projects simultaneously
Collaborate with product owner, back-end developers and designers to improve usability
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
Provide deep software development knowledge with respect to front-end architecture, ux/ui design, and programming
May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports
Required skills, knowledge and abilities:
Experience with web development best practices
Understanding of modern javascript frameworks and architecture
Ability to work on a small team on a wide-ranging set of projects and technologies
Experience in serverless aws cloud environment
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Self-motivated and proactive
3-5 years front-end experience preferred
Bachelors degree required
Other requirements (areas of expertise - tech stack):
React
React frameworks is a bonus (gatsby, nextjs, etc)
Typescript
React libraries such as redux
Node.js
Styled components, scss/less
