Hjf is seeking a quality assurance engineer to support the information technology (it) department, located at the hjf home office in bethesda, md.
The qa engineer (qae) implements and maintains qa frameworks, qa scripts, and conducts testingManages it projects from quality assurance perspective and assists in the development of research and back office applicationsResponsible for implementing and maintaining qa frameworks and qa scripts.
Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain one or more qa frameworks and procedures used to test applications and/or systems developed and/or managed bydevops department(20%)
Create and maintain test cases and create and maintain effective and focused qa plans and scripts for proper execution(10%)
Understand business requirements and workflows as well as application design and features to define clear goals for all aspects of an application/system test and develop qa scripts for proper execution(10%)
Familiar with data analysisResponsible to qa on data created or loaded into applications/systems developed and/or managed by devops department(20%)
Conduct testing on application and systems developed and/or managed by devops department(20%)
Document and monitor qa outcomesWork with developers to fix issues identified during testing and retest the solutions(20%)
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisorThis may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
Experienced with software development and testing and requirements collection and analysis.
Professional work experience in testing applications and/or systems and data analysis and testing.
Advanced knowledge of qa methodologies and best practices.
Understanding of how to build test scripts.
Good in both oral and written communications.
Motivated and team player.
Preferred skills: some programming background using languages such as java, javascript, pearl, ruby, python, r, etc.
Experience with servicenow platform is a plus.
Minimum education: bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required.
Minimum experience/ training requirements: minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience requiredWilling to consider applications with an associate`s degree with 9+ years of experience.
Work environment: set in an office work environmentWilling to consider 100% remote.
