Role overview:
Homebound is looking for an engineering manager to build and lead a high-performing software engineering team.

You will lead a full stack software engineering teamYou will be responsible for the growth and engagement of your direct reports as well as the successful technical delivery of projectsYou will identify opportunities for improvements and instill that principle of continuous improvement with every member of your team.

What you’ll do:
Focus on talent development, team health and empowering your team
Run agile ceremonies and adopt current best practices in software development
Hold engineers responsible for a high standard of code quality and robust designs
Coach engineers by employing your technical expertise to conduct code reviews, facilitate architecture discussions, and develop design documents
Partner with product and design on discovery, scoping, estimation and planning
Uphold and nurture homebound’s technology culture and brand
Intentionally act to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion at homebound
Partner with all homebound teams, from tech to customer experience
Actively recruit and hire skilled engineers
What you’ll bring:
2+ years managing 4+ direct reports
5+ years writing software as an individual contributor
Familiar with: javascript, rest/graphql, sql databases, aws
Experience with agile practices, kanban is a plus
Experience building high-performing and collaborative teams
Experience delivering high-quality software solutions that provide value to users
Demonstrated growth mindset and excellent communication skills
Experience in continuous improvement of technical domains, processes, tooling, etc.
Drive to keep expanding your knowledge of the business, technology, and leadership practices
