As vice president, technology, your mission will be to scale, pivot and integrate the technical architecture and strategy for honeyfundYou will work closely with the coo to ensure the technology roadmap aligns with the overall business strategyYou will manage and grow the technology team (in house and offshore team) and are comfortable being hands on as neededThis role is highly collaborative and will also partner with the product owner and scrum master.
Job responsibilities:
Develop the technical strategy and maintain a technical roadmap that will continue to innovate
Lead road-mapping efforts with senior leadership, goal setting, and regular reporting of progress
Assess current tech stack and determine appropriate changes, integrations, making continuous improvements
Partner with company leadership to manage resources - both where teams spend their time and decisions around growing the team through hiring
Manage, coach, engage, and motivate the technology team
Foster a highly-collaborative, fun, productive and high-performance culture, in which all of the development team works together efficiently and effectively
Why we’ll love you...
10+ years’ experience building polished consumer-facing websites
5+ years’ experience building web apps with laravel
3+ years’ experience building web apps with vuejs
Experience within financial services or with products that have financial transactions; understanding of regulations, fraud prevention, anti-money laundering, etc.
You care about delighting the user
You’ve architected and implemented significant web application projects
You want to ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness
You’ve got significant experience managing technical teams and fostering positive team environments
You’ve got an ability to balance business and technical priorities, escalate risks, and achieve company goals on-time
You can formulate a technical implementation plan and work with the product owner and scrum master to track it to completion
You have a professional and proactive work ethic – a positive collaborator
You are willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuff done as you grow the team
You have the ability to work effectively from home
You have high competence in project and stakeholder management
Optimal candidates will have experience with the following technologies: agile methodology, git, aws, ci/cd, tdd, mysql, react, scss, bootstrap
Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or related field
