Description
Position overview:
Software test engineer for a front end for an industrial data acquisition and analysis product used to monitor manufacturing in semiconductor and related industriesYou are responsible for ensuring timely execution of software testing; ensuring applications meet client requirements, and effectively communication to the project teamWe follow agile software development methodologyYou will work on one or more applications, and you may need to support other applications in needBeing able to multi task and be flexible is important.
Intelligent manufacturing systems (ims) is a division of inficon that makes industry-leading scheduling and visualization software to optimize semiconductor manufacturingThis is a remote/home office (hoping to live in the new england area) opportunity to work collaboratively with our u.sAnd international developersThis position reports to the software test manager in newton, ma officeInficon provides a flexible work schedule.
Responsibilities:
Member of team responsible for building and deploying inficon/ims product suite
Participate in sprint planning and task descriptions
Perform manual qa on a variety of applications
Write up standardized procedures for testing
Hold team members accountable for adhering to standards
Establish mechanism for measuring test coverage
Become an advocate for the customer regarding user experience and design
Collaborate on microsoft teams and video calls with other members of the development teams.
Required skills and experience:
Bs in computer science, information technology, engineering or other technical degree
3+ years work experience with software qa or windows application and web testing
Semiconductor manufacturing
Experience with semiconductor or other industrial software a plus
Proficient with networking and microsoft os
Comfortable with windows website hosting
Comfortable with sql databases that include oracle, ms sql and postgres
Effective communication: comfortable communicating and enforcing best practices
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects at the same time
Must document systems and procedures
Comfortable with selenium testing or other ui test automation a plus
Experience with python or other scripting language for automation of tasks a plus
