Inside incomm from incomm on vimeoAbout this opportunity: this is an exciting role for an engineer with some experience in software development (java environment) coupled with machine learningIn this remote role you will help incomm payments build a new fraud detection systemThe system is being developed in-house and we are looking for someone we direct experience working with transaction data and using it to build models for machine learning within a fraud detection system or similarIn this role you will get to work with very strong software engineers, fintech experts and fraud detection experts in a growing global fintech environmentIncomm is partnered wtih a leading list of the world`s most valuable brands and companies and our innovative products and services are a utlilized in over 30 countries.
Key skills: machine learning, python, sql, azure, java, responsibilities:
Building and optimizing models using machine learning techniques
Storytelling with visualizations
Support both the evolution and continued development of existing applications and the design and delivery of new applications in an agile environment
Implements complex prototypes and core base code for developers to follow
Create and present design solutions that have partial or system wide impact
Design, develop, deploy, configure, document and debug extensive enterprise systems, while
Properly escalating issues to meet deadlines
Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development
Lifecycle, and ensure reuse of code
Should be able to lead small teams.
Coordinate with qa for end to end testing and post production testing
Good understanding of object oriented programming/design principles .
Understanding of, and experience with, software development best practices .
Good understanding of open source application frameworks .
Effective verbal and written communication with clients in a business and technical manner
Problem solving skills and the ability to work with innovative solutions
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and understand key issues quickly
Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make technical and team decisions and assumes responsibility for those decisions while keeping management information
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent work experience
Data science experience, python programming exoerience, and experience using modeling and data science libraries and frameworks such as pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, tensorflow, jupyter, etc
Proficiency with ml techniques - cross-validation techniques, feature engineering and reduction techniques, classification and regression techniques, parameter optimization, and feature selection and dimension reduction
Experience with sql and data manipulation
Proficient with ms sql server queries & stored procedures .
Experience in creating & maintaining lower environments
Experience participating in the full lifecycle of projects, including effective use of version control,
Build management, unit testing, and issue tracking software (exGit, maven, jira)
Experience with microsoft sql server
Experience with various platforms like windows server, linux/unix.
Experience with cloud based platforms, cms, jenkins, ci/cd pipelines and docker.
You’re a super star if you have:
Experience with azure cloud is a plus.
Experience with c# is a plus.
Experience with progressive java development experience including jse, jee in enterprise level scalable, distributed and fault tolerant environments is a plus.
