Major job accountabilities
Chase payments from customers of allocated representatives via telephone or email.
Maintain customer account databases.
Reduce collection period.
Assist in the maintenance and improvement of debt collection procedures.
Assist with monthly invoice runs.
Fax, post or e-mail copy of invoices to customers.
Deliver exceptional customer service at all times remaining focussed and committed.
Other ad – hoc duties as required.
Team interfaces/customer service - establish and maintain a professional relationship with internal/external customers, team members and department contacts
Cooperate with team members to meet goals or complete tasks
Provide quality customer service that exceeds customer expectations and improves level of service being provided
Treat all internal/external customers, team members and department contacts with dignity/respect
Escalate to supervisor/manager any situation outside the employee’s control that could adversely impact the services being provided

Knowledge
Principles and practices of accounting
Accounts receivable methods and fundamentals
Principles and practice of customer service
Methods of basic report preparation
Corporate and departmental operating policies and procedures
Skills and abilities
Good verbal and written communication skills
Excel knowledge must
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Analyze problems identify alternative solutions identify and immediately respond to client needs
Analyze and assimilate data into spreadsheets
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships and teamwork with co-workers
Experience working in a global company a plus
Experience working in a multicultural environment a plus
Minimum qualifications
Applicants for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications.
Education
Bachelor` s degree/ diploma or equivalent experience a must.
Additional post-secondary course work in accounting, finance or related field
