The associate will be a member of the analytics and operations planning team, responsible for analytical support of the company`s operations and strategic initiativesSpecifically, this role will work closely with the director, business intelligence and the department’s quantitative researcher to assess how past events predict future outcomes.

Build and maintain analytical frameworks to make decisions under uncertainty
Create aesthetic, simple, and easily understood data visualizations, primarily utilizing tableau
Use company and third-party data to derive insights and effectively communicate findings to leadership
Collaborate internally with data engineering, business analytics, finance and investments teams as needed to develop the company’s cross-functional approach to data, analytics, and reporting
Leverage the fundamentals of descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics to positively affect operations performance
Approach analyses with a commitment to objectivity, pursuing causal inference above anecdotes and simple correlations
Qualifications
Bachelor`s degreeAdvanced degree (mba, ms, etc.) a plus, but not requiredPreferred fields of study include economics/econometrics, operations research, data science, finance, statistics, mathematics, and engineering
4+ years of working experience in data analysis or data science, finance or asset management
S k ill s / spec ializ ed kn o wl e dge
Ability to manage to tight deadlines and self-manage workflow
Be collaborative in a team setting, tools like teams, slack and zoom to work either in person or remotely
High degree of intellectual curiosity and discipline required
Expert in leveraging excel and powerpoint, and other microsoft applications
A willingness to learn how to query in sql, code in python and utilize tableau and salesforce
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-driven person who is motivated by complex problems that need solving
Willing to learn about the operations of single-family reit management to better understand and derive insights
Ability to maintain confidentiality and foundational knowledge handling personal identifiable information (pii)
