Job description
This position is in our service and support groupThis small, dynamic team provides installation, technical support and repair servicesTravel is required as we visit our customers, install their new instruments, and provide on-site preventative maintenance and repairInternational travel may be required.
Responsibilities and qualifications
Install, repair, upgrade and maintain sophisticated scientific equipment
Troubleshoot complex technical problems
Manage multiple tasks, stay organized and be self-directed
Responsible for instrument calibration
Liaison to r&d for emerging technology
Assist other departments as needed
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Good people skills with the ability to listen and provide excellent customer service
Other duties may be assigned as the business dictates
Regularly exercises independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance
Required skills
Bs in electro-mechanical or biomedical engineering technology with a good gpa
Good computer skills.
Good driving record.
Good fine motor skills and ability to use small tools.
Ability to travel up to 75Travels as required for the purposes of performing installation or service activities at customer sites or backfilling for other service engineers.
This job may require standing for extended periods of time, occasional lifting of heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), and includes repetitive tasks
