Position overview:
In this high-profile role, the senior traffic signal technician - product support provides technical product and application support to distributors and end-user customers of iteris’s traffic signal controllers and detection systems in our texas region.
What you’ll be doing:
As the subject matter expert, you will be iteris’s on-site customer contact, educator and troubleshooter.
Assist in integration into different controller/cabinet configurations.
Support installation and integration of controllers and detection systems and turn-on activities for hardware and software solutions offered.
Technical resource for distributor partners and end user customers.
Be the `go to person` for all technical needs in the region.
Troubleshoot field anomalies and product/software bugs, document and communicate to the factory and follow up with a resolution to the end user customer and distributor.
What we’re looking for:
5+ years working in a technical support role at a public agency or contractor maintaining and supporting traffic signal control equipment on the street.
3+ years’ experience and/or familiarity with iteris or competitor detection systems and controllers.
Working knowledge of traffic signal controllers (siemens or competitors) and overall traffic cabinets and field systems.
Installation and turn-on support for new intersection equipment and maintenance of existing systems.
Possess field and traffic cabinet level troubleshooting skills
Travel approximately 80% (50% local; 30% overnight) within the texas region.
Education and/or certifications:
Working knowledge of one or more of these: nema ts1, ts2, 170/332 traffic cabinets and related equipment is helpful
