Jack henry & associates has an opportunity available for a technically minded, motivated, and dedicated individual to join our team of computer operatorsThe computer operator will be part of a 24/7 operation staff that monitor financial institution connections and job schedulersThey are responsible for monitoring and alerting for network connection issuesThis position plays an integral part in keeping our financial institution clients up and running to serve their clientsTo be successful in this role you must be attentive, and have strong written and verbal communication skills to relay any issues or problems to the team or other groups within the organization.

This position will be worked remotely from the us and all equipment needed is provided by jack henry & associates.
Minimum qualifications
1 year of experience working in a technical environment such as system monitoring, help desk, or computer operations.
Must have the availability to work 4 -10 hour shifts overnights with the ability to cover additional shifts as needed.
Preferred qualifications
Experience with ftp protocols.
Experience with sma opcon.
Experience with using microsoft outlook to monitor alerts and communications from systems and to correspond with other teams and operators as needed.
Experience in a financial institution.
Essential functions
Maintains necessary operating records, checklists, and procedures to ensure accuracy and completion of functions.
Utilizes scripted instructions to perform routine processing functions to meet deadlines or standards.
Provides support to customers and internal users in a courteous and professional manner.
Monitors the console and other online systemsResponds with appropriate actions and escalation.
Follows established guidelines to ensure the security of data and computer systems.
Completes the shift turnover log for the next shift, and reviews the shift turnover log from the previous shift.
Contacts the operations unit manager for assistance as needed.
