Your impact:
Jacobs provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing and launch operations at nasa`s kennedy space center in floridaThese tasks will support the international space station, ground systems development and operations, and the space launch system, orion multi-purpose crew vehicle and launch services programs.
Demonstrates a journeyman level of proficiency with expertise and ability to perform tasks without supervisionThis position will include wearing many mechanical hats and you may be asked to help support various mechanical ops at any time.
Learn, maintain, and utilize the facility pneumatic, cryogenic, and hydraulic systems.
Support mobile launcher ground support equipment set-ups and testing.
This position requires performing weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual pm’s on various facility systems.
Some work will require working at heights and jlg workYou will be required to attend training and earn certifications needed for this position.
Knowledge in stainless steel tubing flaring and bending is a plus.
You will be required to work within electronic work orders and to buy off steps that you complete.
This position will require you to utilize proper ppe and working with both hand and power tools.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Must be conscientious of clean work areas and environmentsExperience dealing with 6s concepts in the work environment is a plusNeeds to be able to read schematics, drawings, work instructions and perform pm`s on letf equipment and systemsMust be experienced in cryogenics and high-pressure gas systemsMust be proficient in stainless steel tube flaring and bending.
Ten (10) years minimum experience required.
Physical requirements
Will be required to wear hearing protection, eye protection, fall protection, safety boots/shoes, hard hats, and other associated personal protective equipment.
Position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing and working at heights.
Physical requirements are sitting, walking, standing, extensive use of stairs, and access to elevated and/or remote structures.
Position is located on a hazardous testing facility; must be able to quickly evacuate buildings in the event of an emergency.
Work environment
Will be required to work inside and outside throughout the letf complex.
Position may require daily individual to travel to different areas at ksc.
Walking on uneven terrain including paved areas, gravel/rocks, and dirt/sand is required to access various locations on the facility.
Climbing ladders and platforms and accessing confined spaces will be necessary.
All work must be completed in a safe manner in accordance with nasa and company safety standards.

Computers and printers used for work instructions, producing reports, time keeping and schedules.
Variety of equipment used in fabrication and testing.
Attendance
Full-time regular work hours between monday-friday.
Position will require occasional overtime including weekend workIn some cases, significant overtime will be required depending on job and schedule requirements.
Must be dependable and punctual.
Shift work may be required.

Government security clearance may be required in the future.
