Your responsibilities
As a software development engineer for john deere power systems (jdps) located in waterloo, ia you will….
Develop new (and improve existing) analysis software to meet engineering need in the test lab
Maintain up-time of autonomous services (24/7)
Provide daily support for engineering issues as they arise
Develop training documents and provide training to engineers

What skills you need
One or more years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) with one or more object-oriented programming languages, including c#, python, vb, matlab
Successful experience in customer facing roles, preferably in technical or professional services
Proficient in ms office suite (excel, word, powerpoint)
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work in groups and collaborate effectively
What makes you stand out
Familiarity with sql and relational databases
Strong understanding of coding fundamentals and best practices
Excellent problem-solving, performance analysis and debugging skills
Ability to analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutions
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
