Full stack application developer (senior) (remote)
Kbr is seeking a senior full stack .net developer to join our team located in patuxent river, mdThe qualified applicant will become part of kbrs it solutions group supporting the naval air systems command (navair) in a wide range of information technology products and services.
Basic qualifications
This position requires a bachelor`s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics or a similar field from an accredited college or university
Minimum twelve (12) years of overall experience in software design, development, and testing.
Clearance requirement: us citizen with existing department of defense (dod) clearance or us citizen eligible for dod clearance.
Primary job activities:
Perform the full range of software development life cycle (sdlc) activities including analysis, design, research, development, test/evaluation, and support within an agile project environment using microsoft azure devops.
Provide development support on existing .net business web applications utilizing c#, .net framework 4.5, asp.net, javascript, jquery, css, html, and microsoft sql server.
Develop and maintain code following industry best practices and in accordance with project and/or customer standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Collaborate with other team members on technical approaches, ideas, and solutions.
Assist in analyzing customer requirements and translating them into a functional design.
Required knowledge / skills / abilities:
Six (6) years of development experience in technologies related to c#, .net framework 4.5+, asp.net, javascript, jquery, css, javascript frameworks (e.g., angular, react, or vue), web api development with .net core, and database development in microsoft sql server.
Excellent communication skills, strong analytical skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team in an agile scrum-like development cycle.
Ability to work closely with all levels of program and organizational personnel, including but not limited to customers, program/project managers, software engineers, testers, quality assurance, release managers, and configuration managers.
Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
Motivated self-starter, strong logical, creative problem-solving skills and excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent and effective oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and it.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Familiar and comfortable with the implementation of application lifecycle management (alm)Specifically, the use of microsoft azure devops’s full range of features – including version control, work item tracking, builds and releases.
Familiarity of the application of modern software engineering languages, technologies, and tools as well as general networking principals and technologies.
Desired knowledge / skills / abilities:
Experience with html5.
Experience with bootstrap.
Experience with mvc.
Industry certifications are desired (cissp, security +, csm, pmp, etc.)
