The opportunity
The lead software development test engineer (sdet) at kandji will help deliver quality and performance on a large scaleThis role involves working closely with infrastructure and development to understand a complex and fast-growing product while working under limited supervisionThe lead sdet will lead optimizations to improve uptime, quality, and speed of releases in highly complex, integrated services ecosystems.
We are looking for someone with significant experience building and refining test solutions from the ground up who can come with opinions on how to shape our futureThe successful candidate will excel in cross-team collaboration, act as a champion for quality, and feel comfortable working in several different testing frameworks.
Day to day
Design and refine an end-to-end test solution in ci/cd.
Integrate performance tests into our ci/cd pipelines.
Creates and maintains automated test cases, executes test suites, reviews and diagnoses reported bugs, and ensures overall system.
Promote and continuously improve test automation.
Provide testing leadership and guidance to the team by architecting testing solutions and helping to resolve technical problems and challenges.
Identify risks and proactively mitigate and communicate them.
Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and product to ensure smooth integration of qa into the sdlc.
Research and stay up to date on the latest tools, technologies, trends, and approaches with the qa space and incorporate those that make sense.
Minimum qualifications
A minimum of 6 years of experience in the testing/qa/sdet field with a passion for quality.
A proven history of successfully coordinating and executing all aspects of testing efforts from project inception to post-launch.
Prior hands-on experience with tools such as testrail, cypress, or pytest
Five or more years of hands-on working experience in traditional oop programming languages.
Experience with test processes, open-source test frameworks, test design strategies, writing test cases and automating tests.
Strong knowledge of web application architecture and extensive experience in testing web applications.
Working knowledge of kubernetes, docker, and all aspects of testing using containers.
