Our newly created process engineering group for plastics, wood and electronics (pwe) is excited to add this process engineering position for injection molding processesThe ideal candidate is currently in an injection molding (im) plant somewhere in the world and looking to leverage their process engineering experiences across a global organizationThis position would be helping
This position will need to learn, understand, and document current process capabilities and capacities within our 3 global im plants and 2 strategic im suppliers to understand the best practices from a safety, quality, delivery, and cost standpoint, and share the best practices with othersThis learning will then be applied to identify cost reductions or throughput improvements within the plantsThis position would also be a supporting team member for major capital projects such as greenfields, brownfields, equipment replacements, and automation projects to ensure world class process designs are incorporated.
Establish relationships within each of our global pwe plants and benchmark process and equipment capabilitiesConnect process capability best practices to business needs and opportunities.
Support major capital projects from concept through manufacturing ownership by incorporating world-class process design and best practicesProjects include new greenfields, brownfields, capacity expansions, and major automation projects.
Lead process design including optimized material flow, standard work, automation wherever possible, floor layouts, equipment specifications, and smart factory integration.
Utilize fundamental principles along with new technology to achieve world class process design, such as process maps, value-stream maps, time studies, waste elimination, 5-s, process simulation, and 3d cad modeling.
Manage project timelines, budgets, approval documents (act’s) fat’s and pat’sLead cross functional teams to execute project and meet expectations.
Counsel and train less-senior engineers and technical support personnel in technical areas as required.
Completes other assignments and projects as assigned by superiors.
Skills/requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an abet accredited school in an engineering field is required, preferably in industrial engineering, but not required.
6+ years of work experience is preferred in an injection molding process engineering role from an operations organization.
This position can be remotely located with the expectation of ~30% travel.
The ability to establish relationships and build trust with fellow process engineers in each of our global plants will be important to minimize travel.
