The spr applications scientist will support the full range of surface plasmon resonance (spr) products through professional scientific support of sales activities, instrument demonstration, collaborative work and presentationsTransfer expert knowledge through training and support of existing customers.
The successful candidate will report to and work closely with the account/marketing managerThe primary area of responsibility is in applications of our sierra spr instrument line and related consumables and softwareThe position is remote and involves travel within the usa, throughout the americas, as well as international.
Responsibilities
Perform spr analyses of samples submitted by prospective customers with a strong focus on small molecules.
Assist in technical sales support by preparing and conducting demonstrations to prospective customers.
Author technical documents that highlight new and innovative application results using bruker’s sierra spr systems.
Provide pre-sales support through multiple mechanisms such as joint sales visits and delivering technical presentations at customer sites or via webinar.
Assist in the post-installation of new sierra spr systems by providing on-site customer training and application specific method development.
Develop new applications for the sierra spr product line to be used for posters and presentations at technical conferences and marketing seminars.
Train new and existing customers and provide professional customer support.
Keeping abreast of new areas of technology through research; culminating in potential patents or publications with collaborators/kol.
Qualifications

Phd or experienced bs/ms level with 5+ years’ experience with surface plasmon resonance (spr) or similar instrumentation.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to a diverse level of internal and external clients required.
Excellent word, powerpoint, and excel software skills.
