Senior software quality assurance engineer
Summary
The quality assurance engineer is an advocate for software quality for the organizationYou will be responsible for designing, creating, implementing, maintaining, and running test plans, test cases and test automation for the agile full stack development teams you supportYou will also be responsible for developing and executing manual tests, investigating, and assisting in problem analysis, as well as resolution of delivered software components.
Core responsibilities
Perform manual and automated functional, integration, and regression tests
Experience with ranorex test automation or similar product
Contribute to the adoption and success of continuous integration and unit testing practices with the software engineers on your delivery team
Identify, evaluate, and recommend qa process and activities supporting software engineering in an agile environment
Track test coverage and performance while investigating and understanding product portfolio defect patterns
Embrace a culture of accountability for ensuring the product portfolio has minimal defects and adheres to company and industry standards
Maintain a professional, optimistic, and energetic presence
Required qualifications
5+ years of experience in quality assurance (manual and automation testing required)
5+ years of experience working with business leaders and translating requirements to developers on a daily/weekly basis
5+ years of experience with one or more test case management, bug tracking and test automation tools required (i.eAzure devops, selenium, watir, testproject or similar)
Consuming and understanding requirements in an agile environment, business analysis, database development, quality engineering, business process development and refinement, and process mapping
Superior organizational skills, self-driven with attention to detail, and follow-through on tasks
Exceptional written and oral english communication skills
Demonstrated ability to self-motivate and self-manage
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
Preferred skills & expertise
Knowledge of unit testing and continuous integration strongly desired
2+ years of programming experience with one of modern languages a plus (go, python, ruby or/and javascript)
Knowledge of unit tests for any of the modern rdbms (oracle, mysql, sql server, postgresql)
