Essential responsibilities of a network engineer:
Lead the support and evolution of critical network infrastructure
Proactive monitoring/maintenance and evolution of mission critical wan and lan components
Assist and build of global sdwan platform
Administration and management of firewall and security platforms
Integration of leading cybersecurity and network solutions
Strong contributor to various leggett and platt corporate it functions:
Global voip build
Capacity management
Cybersecurity response team (blue team and red team activities)
Collaborate and build relationships with managed services, consulting, and hardware suppliers
Document issue resolutions and changes in system configurations that conform to itil best practices
A few things you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in network administration
Broad understanding of lan and wan infrastructure and protocols
Experience implementing and managing sd-wan technologies
Experience in complex switching, routing and wireless network environments
Awareness of the business impact of critical networking components
Proven customer service and technical troubleshooting skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Things we consider a plus:
Microsoft azure certifications in administration/network/security
Experience implementing zero-trust architecture and solutions
Network and segmentation support for industrial control systems (ics) and cybersecurity
Experience with cloud-based security solutions (sase)
