Senior data engineer / principal data engineer

Corporate functions global finance technology is actively searching for a highly productive member to support distributed, dynamic agile teams to serve as a technical expert in analysis, design, coding, and testing innovative data reporting solutionsThis is an outstanding opportunity to support the transformation of our financial platforms and services across the shared finance portfolio, meet unlimited challenges and define the database architecture while working with teams of engineers.

Job summary:
You will work collaboratively with geographically distributed agile teams to develop and enhance complex systems from user stories to technical/architectural specificationsYou will analyze complex technical system problems and create innovative solutions that exceed customer expectations.
This is a fast-paced environment providing delivery for our varied business partnersIn this role you will be working in a highly collaborative environment to build out and define patterns for the go-forward data platform for global finance.
Bachelor`s or master`s degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience, technical degree preferred
Generally, 5-8+ years of professional experience
Working experience in data analytics (data wrangling, mining, integration, analysis, visualization, data modeling, analysis/analytics, and reporting) using bi (business intelligence) tools
Expert in sql programming – relational database design/ analysis/optimization, design/create/modify tables, data query/ manipulation, stored procedures (pl/sql) development, etl (extract transform load) and data warehouse
Experience optimizing database solutions for multi-terabyte databases
Data replication, database security, encryption, compression and data masking/redaction
Extensive knowledge of it concepts, strategies, methodologies
Experience working with agile methodologies and cross-functional teams (product owners, scrum masters, developers, test engineers)
Demonstrates leadership and active pursuit of optimizing ci/cd process and tools, testing frameworks and practices
Must be proactive, demonstrate initiative, and be a logical thinker
Must be team oriented with strong collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills required
