We’re excited to add a business systems analyst to one of our experienced agile teams, supporting our group protection insurance policy administration and billing portfolioAs an agile team member, the business systems analyst will participate in team backlog refinement, daily standups and retros, while working hand in hand with software developers, quality engineers, and our business partners on a variety of digital initiatives across multiple systemsThe business systems analyst will have opportunities to collaborate across teams, learn our products, and manage dependencies as part of a broader agile execution stream#li-rw1 what you’ll be doing
Elicits and communicates business needs and system requirements at the right level of detail to deliver technical solutions that provide business value to internal and external customers, ensure regulatory and security compliance, and improve operational effectiveness
Collaborates with product owner to ensure a well-maintained and prioritized agile team backlog is aligned to business objectives
Writes acceptance criteria to be met by team for a story to be considered “done”
Understands relationships and integrations between systems and provides solution specifications and data mapping to team
Supports testing and troubleshooting of issues and defects
Provides holistic understanding of how systems and processes work together with awareness of gaps, strengths, and opportunities for improvement
Understands constraints, architecture, and available resources and tools to recommend the right technology solutions for business problems
What we’re looking for
Must-haves:
4 year/bachelor`s degree or equivalent work experience
3 - 5+ years’ experience in business systems analysis that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (required)
Technical writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills
Ability to work in collaborative team environment
Listening, relationship management, negotiation skills, consensus building
Ability to coordinate and balance multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment, prioritizing work, and meeting commitments
Data query and analysis
Nice-to-haves:
1 - 3+ years’ experience in agile development
1 - 3+ years’ experience reviewing, querying, and/or analyzing multiple complex data sources, data flow, relationships, and dependencies
