Currently, mantech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented java application developer mid level to join our team for remote work that allows 100% teleco mmuting and working from home anywhere in the united states!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Responsible for developing software in java and possibly other languages to support a large scale it system with linux-based servers, amazon web services (aws) cloud instances, and oracle and/or postgres databases.
Responsible for developing software to completion with each sprint, as part of an agile delivery team that uses scaled agile framework (safe).
Responsible for full spectrum of the software development life-cycle.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentationsMust be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Performs as a team member in the design development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or enhancements to existing software.
Works with technical staff to understand and to develop resolution of software problems.
Resolves customer complaints with software and respond to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements.
Participates in the development of software user manuals or other documentation.
No supervisory responsibilities, accountable for own contribution.
Basic qualifications:
Experience with java software development on linux based systems
Requires 3 to 5 years or more of related experience in software developmentPreferred: bachelor’s degree (in computer science or related field) or equivalent.
Requires conceptual knowledge of practices and procedures within a particular area of expertise.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with web applications, web services
Experience with relational databases (oracle or postgresql)
Experience with linux systems
Security clearance requirements:
U.s citizenship required
Top-secret security clearance required
Physical requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the time
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentationsMust be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
May be asked to move audio/visual or computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across and/or around a business campus or large facility.
