Please review the job details belowMaxar is seeking a r&d scientist to join our research & development teamThis role can be performed remotely within the u.sKey areas of responsibility:
Act as technical lead for preliminary and advanced design studies and prepare portions of engineering and r&d proposals.
Generate and prototype algorithms and techniques to enhance and automate production processes.
Represent the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical problems associated with specific projects.
Involved in business development including briefing customers on company capabilities.
Minimum requirements:
Must be a u.sCitizen or permanent resident
Minimum of 2 years related work experience(master’s degree may count for 2 years of work experience)
Bachelor’s degree requiredFour additional years of experience can be substituted for degree.
Preferred qualifications:
Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, physics, or mathematics.
Strong background in photogrammetry, remote sensing, or computer vision.
Python or c++.
Strong background in designing and implementing complex algorithms.
Solid coding experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience building applications in aws.
Experience with cots products.
Knowledge of any of the following; imagine, arcgis, envi, socet set.
Experience with satellite and/or aerial imagery and general mapping.
Experience with 3d and elevation data.
