What you will do
Medical advantage is seeking a medical copy editor to join our practice marketing teamIf you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a passion for website writing, and love working on multiple projects at a time, this may be the role for you!
The medical copy editor is a detail-oriented editor with experience editing medical copy decks and client blogs with a strong understanding of writing for the web and seo best practicesEditors must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines, and will be responsible for large number of projects per weekYour duties may include:
Duties:
Proofread, re-structure and edit blogs by content writers.
Edit copy decks produced by other writers for grammar, punctuation and spelling.
Optimize published pieces using seo guidelines.
Edit all copy for both language and subject/content accuracy.
Ensure best practices and style guides are followed for all copy writing.
Provide construction feedback to writers to help them improve their writing.
Ensure all deadlines are achieved.
Understand all client medical specialties and have a vast knowledge of all medical fields.
Performs other duties as assigned.

What you will need to succeed
Education and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, marketing, communications, digital communication or business; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years of solid experience writing medical copy.
3+ years of experience editing blogs for seo.
Knowledge, skills, & abilities:
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to edit several projects per week and meet deadlines.
Excellent writing, editing, proofreading skills with a demonstrable portfolio of published work.
Understanding of seo best practices.
Understanding of medical conditions and terminology and how to explain things in lay-friendly terms.
Must be very comfortable and proficient using webmail or outlook.
Must have experience using ms word.
Knowledge of wordpress preferred.
We are 100% paperless so candidate must be very comfortable working in a variety of online systems.
Proficient with microsoft office suite or related software.
Must be a multi-tasker and be able to juggle multiple projects at once.
Other:
Must be legally authorized to work in the usa.
Selected candidate will be required to pass a background check.
