In this exciting role as a senior business process improvement analyst you will have primary responsibility supporting the department on reporting, business process improvement needs and data quality to enable execution of global cross functional clinical studies and projectsThis will require partnering will all team members to standardize and enhance analysis and reporting for both study and operations management.
This role utilizes their broad range of experience in project management, operational excellence, data quality, metric reporting and process improvementThis role works independently and under only general directionThis position is within the clinical evidence and operations group supporting the coronary and renal denervation clinical research department.
Coronary and renal denervation therapies are a vital component of the medtronic interventional cardiology portfolioIn addition to our core products that treat blocked coronary arteries, we are seeking to solve unmet needs in the rapidly growing field of complex percutaneous coronary intervention (pci)We also are leading the way with the transformational renal denervation therapy, which has the potential to be a powerful tool in battling the global hypertension epidemic.

Location: remote within the u.sPreferred locations: santa rosa, ca; mounds view, mn ability to travel up to 25% (domestic and international).
A day in the life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives
Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams
Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities
Collects data to identify root cause of problems.
Support teams with project management principles and tools.
Serve as a portfolio liaison between study teams and mc2 (medtronic clinical operations) for escalation of issues and partnership
Provide vendor management support for study teams including soliciting vendors, managing vendors through the study life cycle and closure activities
Supports teams with data quality issues and recommendations for clinical data review.
May participate on medtronic clinical enterprise teams as coronary and renal denervation representative.
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the project management process, guidelines, tools / templates, best practices, and overall implementation
Must have (minimum requirements): to be considered for this role, the minimum requirements must be evident on your resume.
Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 4 years of clinical research experience (i.e., in the development and execution of clinical studies) or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of clinical research experience (i.e., in the development and execution of clinical studies)
Nice to have (preferred qualifications):
Internal medtronic employees with program management/skills and experience in clinical research highly preferred
Siebel ctms (clinical trial management system)
Ms project or smartsheet experience
Sharepoint administration, ms teams or other collaboration tools
Experience with cda (clinical development analytics) data management principles and oracle clinical or medidata experience
Project/program management skills/experience
Ability to appropriately apply different standards related to medical devices/clinical research (sops, gcp, iso, ich, fda, meddev, mdr, etc.) as needed
Experience in good clinical practice (gcp) and/or regulatory compliance guidelines for clinical trials
Proficient in ms office applications: excel, powerpoint, word, ms project (or similar scheduling software), project management techniques and tools.
Expertise in both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
Pmp certification; project management certification (preferably pmi) and/or green belt certification
