Wall street webcasting - speaker ready operator position
Wall street webcasting is searching for freelance employees to conduct virtual/remote corporate event work.
The speaker ready team provides pre-event direct client support for virtual corporate conferences and events, working in conjunction with the live webcasting team to produce a successful conference experience for clients and attendeesUnder the oversight of the speaker ready manager, the speaker ready operator will be responsible for performing technical checks for corporate speakers/presenters, including troubleshooting their hardware and software issues, and taking diligent notes on information gathered from a speaker ready session.
Candidate qualifications
Excellent/white glove customer service skills - you will be interacting with high-profile clients via video calls
Experience with browser-based applications and video conferencing programs, especially chrome and zoom, with the ability to troubleshoot issues remotely for event speakers
The ability to learn and develop new skills quickly, stay organized, follow department and company protocols, and work efficiently on both independent and team projects
Familiarity with webex, microsoft teams, and/or blue jeans a plus!
Fluent in english with strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to communicate effectively and reliably with team members and supervisors via multiple channels of communication (slack, email, zoom meetings, phone call, text message); time-sensitive messages and tasks will be common
Calm and efficient under pressure - able to multi-task and remain flexible in time-sensitive situationsHaving a “can-do” attitude to find solutions is essential
Previous experience as a stage manager, event manager, or production assistant, especially on corporate events is a plus!
Must be reliable and responsible - able to show up on time and in appropriate work attire for all shiftsThe dress code is professional business attire
Scheduling for this position is varied - shifts are dependent on event schedules, though most fall within standard eastern time business hoursOperators must be pleasant and courteous no matter how early it is
Must have high-speed internet with at least 10mbps upload/download speed
Hourly w2 position at $20/hour (bi-weekly direct deposit available)Qualified candidates should submit a resume with 3 references and a brief introduction.
