Reporting to the vice president of retail management, the director of retail management will be able to develop a highly effective team of regional/branch managers, developing each manager to their highest potential through coaching and leadershipThe ideal candidate will also be able to manage and provide strategic guidance and direction to the retail management team and ensure that employees provide exemplary service to members cooperative credit union members.
Specifically, the ideal candidate will be able to:
· provide leadership that trains employees to maximize opportunities to advance members on their financial wellness journey.
· evaluate and recommend new products, processes, and procedures to attain highest level of efficiency and profitability while improving member experience.
· provide leadership and coaching to develop and encourage staff performance while establishing succession plans and a culture of career development.
· evaluate and apply critical thinking to complex business models and scenarios, providing strategic business recommendations and solutions regarding the operations and assist profitable growth and improve financial results.
· provide leadership to the retail teams to ensure member and brand experience goals are achieved.
· support managers to build relationships within the community and select events and opportunities for participation that will increase the credit union’s overall brand awareness and the branches’ share of target markets.
Education and experience
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field; or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge with a minimum of 10 years financial industry management experienceCredit union and management experience preferred.
