We’re currently seeking a project manager, store development to join our headquarters team!
The ideal project manager candidate will possess hands-on knowledge of commercial construction including remodeling and rebranding of large national retail locationsAdditional essential skills include experience planning and executing large scale corporate construction initiatives, forecasting and prioritizing projects based on regional characteristics, and outlining project timelines and construction phases to maintain business operationsThis position must be able to efficiently manage contractors and vendors while ensuring their work quality meets or exceeds mister’s standards.
What you would do:
Manage construction projects with competing timelines from conception to completion
Determine the resources (e.g., time, money, equipment) needed to create, manage, and fulfill project budgets within approved limits
Job-cost estimating, budget creation, forecasting and close out
Collaborate and management of general contractors and third-party vendor partners
Negotiate terms of agreements and review bids and contracts
Apply value engineering principles to increase facility value
Order equipment and work with internal support teams to meet delivery deadlines
Report project progress on a weekly (and sometimes daily) basis
Avoid issues through proper planning; resolve issues when they emerge
Track and analyze project flow and outcomes to prepare future reports and identify improvements to mister’s best practices
Remain calm under pressure, act decisively, maintain flexibility, and effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Listen actively and communicate assertively
How you will shine:
Minimum 5 years of experience in project management
Ability to travel roughly 30–40%
Skilled at reading blueprints/schematics; knowledgeable about current building codes
Must be able to perform miscellaneous construction tasks (e.g., pull wire, stage and install equipment, etc.)
Works and collaborates remotely with limited direct supervision
Proficient in microsoft office and construction management software packages
Excellent writing, communication, project management, and interpersonal skills with a high level of attention to detail
Car wash experience is a plus
