Full job description
Mitchell is looking for a full-time remote junior production artistThis position requires 1-3 years of experience with a strong background in production and designYou will work on designs during the final stages of development to ensure accuracy and prepare files for print and/or digital executionsYou will combine strong creative and technical skills to format various production jobs and be responsible for the standards established by mitchell.
Qualifications:
High school diplomaCertificate, aa, or ba a plus, but not required
Ideally will have 1-3 years as a production artist within an agency or in-house marketing department
Experience building files from approved comps, ensuring layouts are built to correct specs for print and digital executions
Knowledge of design trends and best practices
Experience proofing, pre-flighting and preparing press ready files
Proficient in adobe creative cloud, primarily photoshop, indesign, illustrator, and xd
Experience in google web designer is a plus
Basic office skills using microsoft office applications (word, excel, outlook)
Proficient in powerpoint and keynote applications
Ability to maintain composure and thrive in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment
Must have exemplary attention to detail and solid communication skills
Must have a strong work ethic with the ability collaborate with co-workers + internal partners
Must have a strong project management skills
The ideal candidate will have:
A good understanding of digital and print production processes
Build and finalize designs using the appropriate software while ensuring job accuracy
Suggest and apply image and layout improvements
Follow set production standards and ensure deadlines are met
Stay within budget on all work and raise awareness if you think you might go over
Work closely with art directors, creative directors and project managers to ensure files are built to spec and delivered on-time
