About the job
Motorefi is looking for a skilled senior test automation engineer to lay the foundation of our quality and test automation program that is rooted in statistical analysis and metrics based approaches to qualityThis means we are defining quality standards across the engineering organization and implementing tools so we can empower developers to deliver code though continuous deployment without compromising system availability and functionality.
About the role
You are not the one writing testsYou are building systems to make it easy for engineers to do that.
Develop and execute continuous improvement programs with automated reporting to identify weaknesses and opportunities to reduce software risk.
Create test tools that integrate automated testing with the ci/cd process and work with developers to get them adopted into their code.
Integrate argo rollotus with elk stack/apm, prometheus and grafana, as well as other opentelemerty based tools to implement a reliable canary deployment strategy.
Create education program to coach teams to create quality test plans and
Create and modify-in-code standards for static, isolation, functional and end-to-end testing.
Work with devops and sre team to implement chaos engineering and other modern quality practices.
Assist with root cause analysis, and implement plans to prevent future issues.
About you
You most likely identify with many of these qualities:
5+ years of work experience working in the domain and tech described above.
Passionate about quality as part of a company`s culture; and that quality is everyone`s responsibility.
Gets excited by new testing technologies.
Feels fulfilled helping coach engineers find out writing tests makes their lives easier.
Comfortable with code-base tools, kubernetes, and testing in event driven environments.
Still feels satisfaction seeing a pipeline fail and auto-rollback before users detected an impact.
Loves taking a problem area, defining a direction and making it become reality.
Driven by metrics, and wants the testing program to be driven by metrics too.
