Support technician

We provide support and professional services for companies around the globe in much more than just telecomWe provide solutions for ip networks, information security, virtualization, contact center applications, hosted solutions, management and consultation.
We are looking to add to our support and professional services teams.
Responsibilities may include:
· working with customers it teams to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues.
· training customers on products they have purchased from mountain west telecom
· performing maintenance, upgrades, updates and repairs on hardware and software.
· using remote management and monitoring tools to take a proactive approach to support.
· responding to alarms and requests for support.
· on call rotation
· rack and stack of equipment
· cabling for both network and pbx infrastructures
· some travel will be required < 25%
· evening shift rotation
Qualifications:
· excellent customer service skills
· excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
· experience in technical customer support preferred
· understanding of ip networks
· understanding of it best practices
· knowledge of windows and linux operating systems
· experience in cabling for network or voice infrastructure
· cisco, mitel or avaya certifications are a plus
· experience with vmware also a plus
· must pass background check and drug screening.
· able to work alone or in teams
